Harlow & Birch is a family-owned carpentry and renovation company in Southeast Portland. We’re 14 people who like doing things properly.
Our story
We started because we were tired of seeing beautiful old houses get rushed renovations.
Daniel Harlow trained as a cabinetmaker; Maya Birch spent ten years restoring Victorian homes. In 2011 they bought a used truck, rented a corner of a warehouse and took every job they could find.
Today we run a 6,000 sq ft workshop with our own spray booth and a crew of 14. We still build almost everything ourselves, because that is how we can promise a fixed price and a five-year warranty.
