Almost all of our oak, fir and cedar comes from three family mills within 90 miles of the workshop. It costs a little more. Here is why we think it is worth it.
Better wood
Small mills air-dry longer and sort by hand. We get boards with straighter grain and fewer defects, which means less waste and furniture that stays flat.
Shorter trips
Local lumber travels hours, not weeks. That cuts transport emissions and lets us pick the exact boards for a project in person.

“When a client asks where their table came from, we can tell them the forest.”
